The best way to Convert Faucet Handles to Wall Hooks

Garden hose faucet handles and steel flip knobs held on with screws or threaded bolts are easy to change into wall hooks. Faucet handles with domes or steel collars can be mounted on a wall or a wood hook foundation. Faucet handles with tops that are painted steel bar handles, antique knobs and clear-plastic knobs that are faceted can be up-cycled in to attractive hooks that are fanciful.

Draw the middle of the handle, or a dot at the top middle of the collar or do me if it can not already have a screw hole. Faucet handles can not require drilling and that are round have threaded holes.

Set the faucet in a vice grip using the dot. Put on safety glasses. Drill a hole through the very top of the faucet or the collar handle on the mark to create a screw hole.

Remove any steel burs from the hole using a jeweler’s file.

Insert a 3/4 inch diameter, 2 inch-long screw to the hole to test it fits.

Hold where you want to set it up as a wall hook, the faucet handle up to the wall. Insert a pencil to the screw hole and attract a mark. Drill a 3/4 inch hole on the mark.

Tap a wall anchor to the hole using a hammer until its open-end is even with all the wall area.

Hold the faucet handle up to the wall and insert the screw to the wall anchor. The screw is tightened by hand using a screwdriver to to install the faucet handle hook. In the event the faucet didn’t need drilling and had a hole on the bottom, screw a rod that is threaded half-way onto the wall anchor after which screw the faucet handle onto another half of the rod that is threaded.
